Ten top tips to improve your writing
- Never use jargon – it puts people off.
- Put the best bit at the top – it’s your only chance to capture your reader.
- Try to use words you use in everyday speech.
- Avoid acronyms.
- Delete unnecessary words – they just add packing.
- Keep sentences short.
- Paragraphs too.
- Put plenty of space between your paragraphs to make your copy easy to read.
- Avoid long lists.
- Never write in capital letters – it looks like you are SHOUTING!
