Ten top tips to improve your writing

1. Never use jargon – it puts people off.
2. Put the best bit at the top – it’s your only chance to capture your reader.
3. Try to use words you use in everyday speech.
4. Avoid acronyms.
5. Delete unnecessary words – they just add packing.
6. Keep sentences short.
7. Paragraphs too.
8. Put plenty of space between your paragraphs to make your copy easy to read.
9. Avoid long lists.
10. Never write in capital letters – it looks like you are SHOUTING!
